Zhuhai Huawang Technology Co., Ltd. (HUWOR) is listed among the drafting organisations of a new power industry standard titled Technical specifications for high voltage ceramic capacitance sensor up to 35 kV. The draft standard is proposed by the China Electricity Council and under the jurisdiction of the Standardization Technical Committee for Power Capacitors of the Power Industry.
About the standard
The standard specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, basic classification, electrical performance requirements, mechanical performance requirements, other performance requirements, tests, marking, packaging, transport and storage for high-voltage ceramic capacitance sensors. It applies to sensors used in online monitoring, voltage measurement and voltage-dividing energy extraction at rated voltages up to 35 kV and 50 Hz.
Ceramic capacitance sensors are widely used in 3 kV to 35 kV power systems for monitoring whether equipment is energised, measuring partial discharge, measuring system voltage and extracting energy. The standard was drafted to regulate the design, manufacture and operation and maintenance of these sensors.
Drafting participation
Sixteen organisations took part in drafting the standard, including Yunnan Power Grid Co., Ltd. Electric Power Research Institute, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China Electric Power Research Institute, CSG Electric Power Research Institute, Chongqing University, North China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., Xi’an Fara Electric Co., Ltd., and Zhuhai Huawang Technology Co., Ltd. Nineteen drafting personnel are credited, and HUWOR’s engineers are among them.
The draft document (Chinese, dated 2026-08-26) can be downloaded below as a public reference copy. The final standard number will be assigned by the National Energy Administration upon approval.
