On May 16, 2019, Zhuhai Huawang Technology performed live partial discharge detection on 10kV high-voltage switchgear at a 220kV substation in Heilongjiang. The inspection utilized ultra-high frequency (UHF), ultrasonic, and transient earth voltage (TEV) detection methods to ensure comprehensive assessment of equipment condition.
During the on-site inspection, a persistent ultrasonic partial discharge signal was detected at the rear ventilation opening of the cable compartment in the 10kV Line 9379 switchgear bay.
The detection results provided an accurate technical basis for early fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance, effectively reducing potential risks to the power distribution system.
