On May 9, 2020, Zhuhai Huawang Technology carried out live partial discharge detection on a 10kV cable in Lhasa, Tibet. The inspection identified abnormal partial discharge activity in the Bianjiang 142 circuit breaker cabinet.
During the on-site testing process, noise interference was effectively eliminated by adjusting the trigger threshold. This allowed clear capture of the abnormal signal, which displayed characteristics typical of surface discharge.
The results provided a reliable technical basis for timely maintenance, helping to prevent potential insulation failures and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power distribution system.
