Device Overview

The Partial Discharge (PD) and Temperature Monitoring Device is designed for installation on primary switchgear equipment in distribution networks, such as ring main units (RMUs), cable branch boxes, and compact substations. It provides online monitoring of partial discharge, indicates short-circuit and earth fault locations on the corresponding cable sections, and measures real-time temperature.

The device adopts the pulse current method for partial discharge detection, offering high sensitivity and comprehensive monitoring of various types of PD in distribution equipment. It also integrates cable termination temperature monitoring, high-voltage live line indication, and fault indication functions.

With an OLED digital display interface, the device enables maintenance personnel to quickly assess the insulation status of distribution equipment, detect potential insulation faults in time, and improve operational reliability. It supports both RS485 communication and short-range wireless transmission for flexible data integration and remote transmission.

Key Features

1.Real-time Monitoring & Indication – Continuously monitors PD levels, temperature, live status, and fault status inside the switchgear.

2.Configurable Parameters – Flexible setting of PD correlation coefficient, PD alarm threshold, temperature alarm threshold, auto-reset time, device ID, baud rate, and more.

3.Reliable Communication – RS485 interface with Modbus-RTU protocol for seamless data integration and remote transmission. Can be integrated with other monitoring platforms if required.

4.Adaptive Anti-interference Technology – Effectively eliminates background noise and enhances measurement accuracy.

5.Built-in PD Diagnosis & Alarm Algorithm – Combines PD detection with cable termination temperature data for accurate fault assessment. When PD is detected, the LED alarm indicator remains on and relay alarm contacts are triggered.

6.Manual & Automatic Reset – Alarm reset can be performed manually via the panel button. If no manual reset occurs within a configurable period, the system automatically resets.
