
Project Background
With the continuous increase in power grid load, there are growing demands for real-time monitoring of high-voltage equipment. To enhance intelligent operation and maintenance of electrical equipment and prevent partial discharge and overheating faults, a 220kV substation in Jiangxi has introduced Zhuhai Huwor Technology’s online partial discharge and temperature monitoring system. This system provides intelligent monitoring of critical nodes, offering strong support for the safe and stable operation of the substation.
Project Installation Process
- Switchgear Wireless Temperature & Partial Discharge Integrated Device
This integrated monitoring device combines temperature monitoring and partial discharge detection. It wirelessly monitors key parts such as cable joints and busbars, assessing temperature and insulation conditions in real time. With features like early warning, intelligent maintenance, and easy installation, it is an essential tool for ensuring the safe operation of switchgear.

- Three-in-One Partial Discharge Sensor
The intelligent three-in-one sensor integrates Acoustic Emission (AA), Transient Earth Voltage (TEV), and temperature-humidity monitoring technologies. It is widely used in substations and switching stations for monitoring partial discharge and environmental conditions in ring main units and switchgear, enabling early detection of potential faults and ensuring safe, stable equipment operation.

- Clip-on Passive Temperature Sensor
Powered by electromagnetic waves via antenna (no external power required), this sensor supports wireless transmission. Fixed by screw clamps, it fits various switchgear tulip contacts and provides real-time contact temperature monitoring of circuit breakers, ensuring safety and reliability.

4.RFID 8-Channel Temperature Collector
Integrating data collection, storage, and alarm functionalities, this device supports both wired and wireless dual-mode communication and is compatible with third-party gateways or backend systems. Fully compliant with China Southern Power Grid technical standards and relevant industry regulations, it provides a reliable solution for intelligent monitoring of power equipment.

Project Commissioning
After deployment, the system achieved real-time online monitoring of partial discharge and temperature in the 220kV substation. Featuring a user-friendly interface and clear alarms, the system significantly enhances the situational awareness of operation and maintenance personnel and improves the substation’s level of intelligent operation and maintenance.
